Weekly Word Challenge

It’s Sunday already and September is flying along. My husband and I have 2 teenagers who have started school. One is in grade 8 and the other one is in grade 11. If I close my eyes; I can see when they started kindergarten. The expression “the days are long but the years are short” is really very true. On that note, let’s make the days better by learning some Spanish words! WAHOOO!

Going back to last week’s words and challenge, do you remember what they were? Find out the answers below.

Motocicleta: motorcycle

Bicicleta: bicycle

Here are the fantastic responses that came in. I love the creativity! YOUPPI!

I used to sit behind my husband on the motorcycle. But not anymore.

Recuerdo haber aprendido a andar en mi primera bicicleta con mi papá agarrado del asiento. ¡Fue divertido!
I remember learning to ride my first bike with my dad holding the seat. It was fun!

Cuando era muy joven, solía andar en bicicleta con mi hermana. Cuando cumplí dieciséis años me compré mi primera moto. Manejé muchas motocicletas diferentes durante los siguientes cuarenta y cuatro años. Me encantaba montar.
When I was very young, I used to ride a bike with my sister. When I was sixteen I bought my first bike. I drove many different motorcycles over the next forty.
