Weekly Word Challenge

It’s Sunday and yesterday my beautiful daughter celebrated her 16th birthday! I cannot believe that my husband and I have been parents for 16 years. What have I learned about parenting? To be patient and compassionate with yourself. This same principle applies to learning spanish – patience and compassion to yourself as you navigate this beautiful language! What do you think?

Going back to last week’s words and challenge, do you remember what they were? Find out the answers below.

Cerebro: brain
Cebolla: onion

Here are the fantastic responses that came in. I love the creativity! YOUPPI!

Nuestro cerebro se parece mucho a una cebolla, ya que tiene muchas capas.
Our brain is a lot like an onion as it has many layers.

Si no usas tu cerebro cuando eres joven, perderás la capacidad de pensar. Me gusta agregar cebolla a mi comida mientras cocino porque le da buen sabor.
If you don’t use your brain when you’re young, you’ll lose the ability to think. I like adding onion to my food while I cook because it tastes good.

A veces mi cerebro es tan blando como un melón, especialmente cuando estudió gramática española, pero otras veces es tan dulce como una cebolla Texas 1015.
Sometimes my brain is as soft as a melon, especially when I study Spanish grammar, but other times it’s as sweet as a Texas 1015 onion.

Here are the words for this week. Gracias a Tony!
