Weekly Word Challenge – Piscina y piso

Welcome back!  Feliz Navidad y Prospero Año Nuevo 2025!!!

It’s a new beautiful Sunday.  How did you celebrate the New Year? We stayed home and played card games and ate good food.  My classes resumed last Sunday and it’s been so great to see all my students again!!

Going back to the last week’s words and challenge, do you remember what they were? Find out the answers below.

La bola de navidad:  Christmas ball (to hang on a tree)
La bota de navidad:  Christmas stocking

Here are the fantastic responses that came in. I love the creativity! YOUPPI!

Every year, it’s my job to put the Christmas balls on the tree & the Christmas stockings on the mantle.

This year we will not hang a Christmas boot, but we will have some Christmas balls on our Christmas tree.

Our Christmas is decorated with many colorful Christmas Balls collected over years.

We still hang Christmas boots but don’t fill them anymore.

When I was young, I loved putting Christmas balls on the tree, but I never had a Christmas stocking.

Here are the words for this week! Gracias a Linda!!!

I would like to challenge those who are thinking about responding to please respond….just try!
Por favor!! Por favor!

Are you curious about “Canadians Speak Spanish”?

A wonderful opportunity to speak (hablar) and practice in Spanish. The students have a great time speaking with others and meeting new people. We have guests who are hispanics too!

We had SO much fun last Tuesday!! We talked SO much español and laughed and learned!

The next one will be Tuesday February 4, 2025. YOUPPI!
