Join in on this week’s word challenge! Commonly Confused Words

Another Domingo (Sunday), another word challenge! Muchas gracias for sharing your Dad stories last week, it was lovely to read them.

Going back to our last challenge, do you remember what our words were? Find out the answers below.

To play *a sport* jugar y to play *an instrument* or to touch tocar.

Did you catch the error in the example? It was written “Yo fuego el fútbol. But “Fuego” is fire… it should have read “juego”

Here are the fantastic responses that came in from you, our readers!

Quiero jugar al fútbol pero nunca puedo tocar el balón y soy el portero. JAJAJA!
I want to play soccer but I can never touch the ball and I am the goalie. Hahaha!

Cuando era joven mi abuela me enseñó a tocar el piano.
When I was young my grandmother taught me to play the piano.

En la escuela me enseñaron a jugar al voleibol, pero no era muy bueno en eso.
At school they taught me to play volleyball but I wasn’t very good at that.

Here are the words for this week:
nuevo nueve

Can you guess the meaning of each word? How about for the following sentences?

Mi nuevo carro es rojo.
Mi amigo tiene nueve años.
