Another Sunday has arrived. It’s rainy here in Ottawa. A perfect day to stay under the covers.

Going back to our last challenge, do you remember what our words were? Find out the answers below. These two words can be tricky as they have nuances.

Conocer: to know or meet someone

Today I am meeting new people at the store. They are new because I don’t know them.

Cuando llegamos a casa, descubrimos que nuestro restaurante favorito estaba cerrado. Ahora necesitamos encontrar un nuevo restaurante para comer juntos.
When we got home, we discovered that our favourite restaurant was closing. Now we need to find a new restaurant to dine together.

Hemos conocido a muchos de nuestros vecinos que viven en nuestro edificio de condominios en la ciudad. Todos son muy amables.
We have met many of our neighbours who live in our building in the condo in the city. Everyone is so kind.
