Weekly Word Challenge
Welcome back! It’s warming up here in Canada and my students are happy. I think everyone is ready for the Spring!
Going back to the last week’s words and challenge, do you remember what they were? Find out the answers below.
Maquillaje: make up
Mantequilla: butter
Here are the fantastic responses that came in. I love the creativity! YOUPPI!
Tenía prisa por comer y accidentalmente unté maquillaje en mi tostada en lugar de mantequilla. No sabía muy bien.
I was in a hurry to eat and accidentally smeared makeup on my toast instead of butter. It didn’t taste very good.
En español, dos palabras que se parecen mucho son mantequilla y maquillaje. No te dejes engañar, el maquillaje es para tu rostro y la mantequilla es para tu pan.
In Spanish, two words that are very similar are butter and makeup. Don’t be fooled, makeup is for your face and butter is for your bread.
Me gusta la mantequilla en mi tostada.
I like butter on my toast.
Here are the words for this week! Gracias a Tony!
I would like to challenge those who are thinking about responding to please respond….just try!
Por favor!! Por favor!
Are you curious about “Canadians Speak Spanish”? A wonderful opportunity to speak (hablar) and practice in Spanish. The students have an opportunity to speak with others and meet new people. We have guests who are hispanics too!
Reach out and we can have a quick private chat. The next one is Tuesday March 5th!! Tell your friends! The more the merrier!!!
