Weekly Word Challenge
It’s Sunday and it’s December and the snow has arrived. My last class of the year was last Tuesday. It was the community class “Canadians Speak Spanish”. We had 6 students and 3 guests who are from Colombia. We learned SO much about holiday traditions in December! I can’t wait to continue these classes in the New Year!
Going back to last week’s words and challenge, do you remember what they were? Find out the answers below.
Muñeca: doll
Muñeca: wrist
Here are the fantastic responses that came in. I love the creativity! YOUPPI!
Realmente no veo la diferencia entre muñeca y muñeca. Supongo que todo está en el contexto, así que… cuando era pequeña solía acostarme con muñecas, pero ahora que soy mayor me duelen las muñecas cuando practico yoga. Jaja
I don’t really see the difference between doll and doll. I guess it’s all in context, so… when I was little I used to sleep with dolls, but now that I’m older my wrists hurt when I practice yoga. haha
La muñeca de mi esposa es muy pequeña y bonita. A mí me parece una preciosa muñeca navideña.
My wife’s wrist is very small and beautiful. To me it looks like a beautiful Christmas doll.
Le regalé una muñeca a mi sobrina el año pasado.
I gave my niece a doll for Christmas last year.
Here are the words for this week. Gracias a Tony!

Are you curious about “Canadians Speak Spanish”? A wonderful opportunity to speak (hablar) and practice in Spanish. The students have an opportunity to speak with others and meet new people. Reach out and we can have a quick private chat. The last class of the year was last Tuesday. We had so much fun that I forgot to take a picture! Stay tuned for the schedule in the New Year!
